You are using the right approach to weight loss. Don't rush your self or set unrealistic goals. If you lose the weight too fast chances are you will gain it back and then some when you stop dieting. Some girls I work with have had good luck with Cortislim. Also I know alot of people that are going to a local diet doctor (in Tennessee) he tells them absolutely no potatoes or processed meats. Everything must be fresh or frozen. No beans of any type. Limit breads to whole grain and only 4 slices daily. He also tells them no sugar or Equal only sweet and low. He tells them when they first begin to feel hungry to eat a small amt of something.

Find a low carb program, that will give you the best loss. Kimkins is the fastest, but it's a membership site designed only for serious dieters.
Exercise doesn't help all that much. Figure if you burn 175 calories a day walking (200 lb person), it will take 3 weeks to lose just 1 pound. 175 * 20 = 3500 calories.
Watch your "drinking" calories, pick low cal alternatives.

You might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout as well.

I began weight watchers in February and lost 25 lb in 3 months, and still have it gone, I have lost 45 now.
Try it, you probably can't lose 25 by then, but you will be closer and have healthy habits that will help you forever.

My advise would be drink at least 64 ounces of water a day, cut out all sugar, including fruit juice and most fruit. Exercise at least 4 times a week. And weigh yourself only when you are close to loosing the weight you want... because remember it's not what you weigh, it is what you want to look like healthy. Rememer, If you are lifting weights for excercise and calarie burn, muscle weights more then fat.

At 5'6'' and 120lbs you will have to be pretty completely satisfied. You won't be competent to lose that much weight through christmas seeing that you might be already a healthful weight. Shedding that much would make you waaayyy to thin even by means of my ridiculous ballet dancer specifications.

Try the Atkins diet. No carb's, mostly protein. You lose weight fast, BUT, if you go back to your regular eating habits the weight will come back. I lost 70 lbs in 6 months! I still watch my carbs and have only gained back 20lbs.

Drink lots of water
Make time to prepare healthy foods that you like so they are available when you're hungry--cuts down on the temptation to eat fast food or junk
If you like tea, herbal blends can be a nice treat instead of sweets or alcohol
Good luck
