1. Anti-Breakage Shampoo and conditioner by Tresemme.
2. If you iron/curl your hair use a Heat Tamer spray to prevent further breakage. (Once again, I use Tresemme) : )
3. Never brush your hair with a brush when your hair is wet. Comb it with a wide-toothed comb.
4. If you blowdry your hair keep it at a cool setting. And spritz a few sprays from the heat tamer as well.
5. Don't use rubberbands that are tight-tight. (Scrunchies are even better)
6. Take a multi-vitaman for healthy strong hair.
This will help prevent hair damage, and I've been using the Heat Tamer Spray by Tresemme for about a year and it doesn't leave your hair greasy like some others do. Its about 4 dollars.

i no i proberbly sound all old fashioned on this one but no matter what you buy will protect your hair fully from damage, just because you spray a liquid onto your hair before pressing it into a straightning iron at around 200oC isn't going to stop the heat damaging your hair, hair nails and skin can all get damaged and are mostly made up of the same substances, so if you sprayed a protector spray onto your arm and then clamped it between your straightners it is not going to stop you from gettting third degree burns. the best way to protect your hair is avoid and heat styling products and save the hairdryer and straightners for special occasions and when you do use heat to style your hair make sure you condition it well to prevent further drying of the hair, remeber the only thing that can mend split ends is the scissors!!

Both Panteen and Frutice are really bad for your hair. The reason your hair feels so nice after using it is because it contains plastics that coat the hair shaft. As a matter of fact ALL products found in a grocery store are really bad. "salon" products you find in the grocery stores are imposters. Definatly agree you should get a professional quality straightener and the chi is the best you can also get Aquage Beyond Shine spray that acts as an excellent protector from heat as well as it gives awesome shine.

Yes chi makes a really good spray. But I also recommend buying a chi iron. (right now chi has a special that will give you a free bottle of the spray when you purchase the iron). Most irons don't get hot enough (believe it or not) so you are forced to go over each section of hair multiple times. Each time you go over the hair you damage it more. The chi gets just hot enough, without being too hot, that you only need to go over each section once. Just make sure the sections are small and you squeeze with quite a bit of pressure. Also make sure your hair is COMPLETELY DRY! If there is any moisture in your hair whatsoever, you singe your hair!

I swear by this. It's a bit pricey, but it last a long time.
