because you are a human born in sin. "it is easier for a camel to be put through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to give everything away and follow me"
paraphrased a bit - but that's it.
You're not alone honey - every one of us faces the same challenge. Start with a little bit - a bad habit for example - and give it up to Him. He'll bless you for it, and the next thing will be easier.

Probably because you are not ready yet. Remember that David gained the confidence to fight Goliath because of his experience with the lion and the bear, so sometimes small steps are needed before we can take big ones. And do you understand things like stewardship and subjection?

So don't be hard on yourself, if God has called you to give up everything the way and the means will be opened to you, and if you think you have anything that is your own go to Chronicles and read Solomon's prayer at the dedication of the temple.

It can be difficult particularly when it concerns a really important issue. It does get easier with time and prayer.

When you pray, tell God how you feel. Tell him that you want to turn over control completely but you can’t quite get there. Ask him for help and to show you the way.

He will show you how to let go if you ask.

But it may not happen over night. Just keep praying and keep studying scripture.

Once you reach the point where you can let go and trust God completely with the problem, you will be amazed how much at peace you will feel.

Because you want to be in control, and really you are, God gave you free will. You have to do something, asking God for strength, guidance, is all good. You cannot just throw up your hands, and do like the song says "Jesus take the wheel", because you will crash into a tree, nine times out of ten. Let, go, let God, is what my Grandma always said, that is in your heart, on the outside, you still have to work towards your goals. Don't be like a salmon, if it feels like you are swimming upstream, turn around. Hope this helps.

God Bless You

It is the most difficult lesson to learn and to apply; but it quickly becomes easy for people who sincerely trust Him. This lesson is not the characters written in the Holy Books, but it is the sound from the mouth of God directly to each pure heart.
In order to hear His sound of divine love, we have to read all His three Books: the Holy Book, the Book of Nature and the Book of our soul. This seems difficult, because the reading of the Book of Nature already takes our whole life, then where is the time for reading the Holy Book and the Book of our soul? So, for the lady who sincerely trusts Him, He will show how she can read all these three Books.

Dear, I think it may be because you are not sure in whose hands you are placing your life. It has been my experience that the more I know of God's character and see the perfection of His ways, the more assured I am that His plan for me will always be superior to my plans for myself.

Also, when you see God working in your life, and the beauty, wisdom, rightness and order He brings to it, I think you then feel more comfortable "giving over" control of everything to Him.

Keep learning of the Lord and keep in His word and in prayer, I think He will show you, day by day, that you can fully trust Him.

I think the operative word here is Trust, our relationship with God is not like that of each other, we are so used to retaining our independence in many matters of relationship and we feel that we have control and this gives us a sense of importance.
we cannot readily accept that someone close to us will do what we ourselves want done.
we all suffer from a lack of trust and sometimes this is because we have been disappointed so many times and let down by those we had hoped in, this life experience is a deep one and we find it so hard to overcome.
we have recognize this failing and then ask God to overcome it for us,as somethings are just beyond our ability, when we approach God in this way we are saying that we are truly dependent on Him to structure our lives according to His plan for us,and not what we think the plan should be.
we have to learn to creep before we can walk and this entails taking things slowly and being patient with ourselves especially when we fail, we must say to the Lord `Lord I believe but please help my unbelief, I trust in You but help my weakness of heart`
the Lord Who knows all things in our hearts will not abandon us to our frailty but will slowly and lovingly bring about our healing.

may the Lord who loves you, come to your help,Amen.

You lack faith. It's easy for people to tell you to turn everything over to God, but it is much harder to actually do it. I think a lot of times the reason we don't trust God is because we look at our current situation and can't see how it will ever work out. The Bible says it is impossible to please God without faith. Ask God to increase your faith. Do things daily that will stretch your faith. I will be praying for you.

Living out a life of faith isn't supposed to be easy. It's hard because part of you is in a false logic state where it won't allow you to believe as you should. You must ask God to free you from this and follow His Word. God bless.

Because that is faith and it is hard to have faith in something that you can not see, hear or touch. As you learn and develop faith you see the wondrous works that the Lord can do in your life and faith grows.

It is not just hard for you, it is hard for many of us, I have to do it daily some days it works and some days it does not. You just keep going back to the cross

God Bless
