Many recipes call for a piece of chicken to be covered in an egg wash and then breaded.

For some people, there is a Biblical precedent: "Thou shalt not seethe a kid in its mother's milk." This has been viewed as the basis for the Jewish prohibition of eating meat and milk together.

For others, there is no Biblical mandate but it still seems like a cruelty issue.

Still others may not think that chicken and eggs go together.

I think there is a chicken-and-egg dish called "Mother and Child Reunion." Yikes.

Some people do. Fried chicken and eggs. Sounds good to me.
I guess people don't eat it that way because of what the chicken used to be. It's like eating the same thing, I guess....?????????? I dunno.
