For the past month or so when I shift gears and give it to much gas it feels like it slips a little before catching. Could this be my Timing?

there is a safety switch at the bottom of the clutch travel , this may have slipped or is defective , on my '88 ford it feels like I'm putting my foot through the firewall to get that switch to work.oh also if you have a hydraulic clutch top up the reservoir.

The starter is controlled by a relay (an electrically controlled switch) under the hood. When the relay gets 12 volts, it turns on a bigger switch that controls the starter. You could either listen to hear it clicking when someone turns the key, or much better, if you or a friend knows how, measure if it's getting 12 volts. If it isn't, then there's a problem with the ignition switch, clutch safety switch, etc. If it's clicking or getting 12 v, the battery's OK, and the starter doesn't even grunt, you probably have a bad starter or starter cable.

Might be fuel supply problem. Have the fuel pump checked by a competent mech. Fords are notorious in those years for pump problems.
The slipping has nothing to do with timing. When was the last time you had a clutch job performed? Disc, Pressure Plate , release bearing. If it's never been done and the truck has high mileage, 95000 or better, it's likely these part are worn out.

Check your neutral safety switch.
