Subscribe to Runner's World or a fitness magazine of your choice. The tips are informative and they help keep your motivation level up. Motivation is the key to keeping on task. Plan on participating in a 5K run. Having a goal will focus your attention. I'm 40+ years old and have been and hope to run forever. Join the club and good luck.

Try swimming instead at your local Y if you have one. You use more muscles and won't ruin your knees by time you're forty.
