You will tell her - it's your only choice. If you lie and she finds out, then there is a break of trust, which is more damaging than truth in the first place, especially if you get married and THEN she finds out. You would eventually tell her anyway, or slip, as such a thing is nearly impossible to keep secret. Plus, if it's true love between you and your girlfriend is a smart [and logical] woman, then she will repect your straightforwardness, trust, truth, and (if it's true love) she will stay with you. Good luck.

OK what's up with using the word love to describe how you feel towards someone you cheated on. Don't marry this girl you got to sort some things out within yourself first. When you love someone you don't do things that make you feel guilty.

any guy that confesses is an idiot. cheating is wrong of course, but confirming it stupid as well. a lot of men will confess figuring " man when she sees how honest I am she will forgive me" but that doesnt really work does it. oh by the way this is the male Molly here (using my girlfriend's computer).

It doesn’t matter anymore.
I used to sit and wonder to myself,
what it was, I did so wrong.
Could I have treated you different?
or wrote you, a beautiful song.
I loved you with all of my heart,
and I believed, you truly loved me.
You used to say, I was your true love,
and there was no place, you’d rather be.
How could a love so wonderful and pure,
change, from the day we first met.
Was it I, who did you wrong,
or a friend, I will never forget.
But now, it truly doesn’t matter anymore,
why, you hurt and cheated on me.
Because I know, deep in my heart,
It wasn’t I, who cheated on thee.
So I just want you to know,
that if you ever, think of us two.
My life was truly changed, my dear,
and I deserve, a lot better than you.

no, i wouldn't tell her. at the first the guilty feeling hurts but eventually you get over it. just don't make a habit of cheating again and if you do make sure that is no one close to your circle of friends!

You should break up with her rather than lie to her. Lying gives her control of your world, which you can never get back. Once you lie, she owns you, and your only escape is to finally tell the truth and leave.

I would be completely honest, and face the consequences. There is no point in lying to her. That would play on her intelligence.
