like if your dieing it dark and you leave it in 10 mins over will it come out really dark and it you die it light and leave it in over time it will come out more lighter if you had dark hair to begin with?

No, after a while the chemicals quit working. If you wash it out too soon though, you can risk the color messing up.

It depends on the product you are using, if I put a semi-permanent colour on my hair I tend to leave it on longer to get a more vibrant result.
When using permanent colour to lighten your hair is is best to buy the correct colour for your hair and leave it on for the correct development time.

no. if you want it to be a darker shade just you the dye that comes out darker on your hair
