im writing a paper and i need to know how to get roman numerals into my paper. I have windows xp. im writing it on microsoft office word 2003

Just use the letters. I V X D ...etc.

if you are numbering, writing the numerals out like letters, followed by a fullstop then a ssapce then state the point...when you press enter, Word will auotatically format it into Roman numerals and will number the next points for you.

Go to format, bullets and numbering, then click the "numbered tab" and click the upper right option. This is Roman Numerals.

just normal; like for 25 XXV. It won't have the lines on top and bottom but it works.
