We actually do have several Pagan AA groups where I live. Definitly talk with the person who posted above about it and check to see if you can find other Pagan AA groups out there to see if there's already one in your area or to talk to other organizers of said groups. You can likely find listings for them at www.witchvox.com
Good luck!

First of all, I want to congratulate you on your journey to sobriety. I am no expert on Paganism but from what I understand it is not an orginized religion and leaves plenty space for personalization to the point where no one has the same exact beliefs or practices. I think that the most important thing you can do is use your creativity given to you by God. Explore different rituals, even make some up as you go to inspire you with the strength to fight the temptations. I wish all the best of luck to you and I am thinking and praying for you.

that is a great idea. i am a recovered alcoholic. i did it the hard way, i tried to quit cold turky and dumped my whisky down the sink, then a few hours later i went into shock and ended up in a salvation army hospital for a few days. and the whole time people were trying to help me with Christian theories and teachings. not that i did not apreciate the effort, but someone of my own believ system may have been nice to have.
as for a meditation that is like the lords prayer. sorry i cant help you there.

The basic 12 step program is very like many Pagan path teachings.
Our Mother who art everywhere.
Hallowed be thy name.
Through magick and love,
Thy will be done On Earth,
to make Earth~ heaven.
We thank thee for our daily bread.
Forgive us our trespasses as we
Forgive those who trespass against us.
Let us see temptation for what it is,
So that we may deliver ourselves from evil.
For thine is the energy and the power,
Tonight and forever.
Blessed Be.
Our Mother,
Who art in all places
Blessed be Thy names.
Thy presence be known,
In all hearts thy home,
Upon the Earth which is Thy body.
Grant us this day,
Our daily strength. Guide us through our karma
As we embrace our shadows.
Lead us not into power-over,
But deliver us from ego.
For Thine is the Light, the Dark,
and the Love for ever and ever.
So mote it be.

ABSOLUTELY!
I'm a Pagan in AA, and I'd be happy to chat with you. I can tell you how I have dealt with the things you're asking about. Just email me, and I'll send you my home email address.
Blessed Be,
Dee

no but in programs such as CARE and DARE, both of which deal with drug problems, there are quite a few.
