I personally think he was an articulate, enigmatic preacher, that tended to rock the system and government.

But I wonder what you think?

I think Jesus was a rebel and totally cool. He didn't like "religious" people, because they were self-righteous. I think He was/is compassionate, loving, humorous, passionate, loyal, faithful, forgiving, and willing to die for all of us so that we could live forever. And, of course, He did. But, thank God the Father, He rose from the dead and now lives in us believers and intercedes for us with our Father in Heaven. I think, also, that He was/is very understanding and empathetic towards what we have to go through in this world. He knows what it's like to be tempted and to be persecuted for teaching the truth. I think He is a lot like we are, only sinless. Peace.

According to the bible, he allowed demons to run 2,000 pigs off a cliff where they drowned in the water below. Not just bad for the pigs and the people who owned the pigs, but bad for the marine life.
He cursed a fig tree for obeying the laws of nature by which it was bound and not bearing fruit out of season.
He said nothing against slavery or racism.
He said the kingdom of god would be fulfilled before those standing before him had all died. They're dead.
He said whoever called others 'vipers' would be in danger of hellfire. He called people 'vipers'

Conclusion: Not perfect.

Proof outside of the bible that he existed? Skimpy and inconclusive, despite the enormous impact he is alledged to have had on the region.

So what kind of person do I think Jesus was? Fictional.

We can know what type of person Jesus was by reading the Word of God. We know that he was loving, kind, compassionate, faithful, friendly, not a respecter of persons, wise, etc. but we also know that he wasn't a "punk" - he stood up to Satan and anyone else who got in the way of The Plan; he never backed down.

In the words of St. John, who probably knew him best:

Joh 1:9 That was the true light, which enlighteneth every man that cometh into this world.
Joh 1:10 He was in the world: and the world was made by him: and the world knew him not.
Joh 1:11 He came unto his own: and his own received him not.
Joh 1:12 But as many as received him, he gave them power to be made the sons of God, to them that believe in his name.
Joh 1:13 Who are born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us (and we saw his glory, the glory as it were of the only begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth.

I think he was an innovative man with ideas and principles that reflected this. He was as you said well spoken and able to debate with the best of the best from his genre. I think he was a holy man who was grace and beauty above all imaginable and I believe he is still Lord.

I think Jesus was the prime example of the type of person we strive to be most like as Christians in this world. Just as he denied himself, and allowed himself to be persecuted and executed for the good of all, so should we all also commit ourselves to loving others and helping those who need it the most, no matter what the cost to ourselves.

I believe that jesus was gods son and was born to die for the people in the world that have sinned. His personality was that of a child of god.

I think that he was a strong, charismatic, loving, gentle, brave, honest, witty man, and of course, the powers that be hated him for it, they were threatened by his magnetism. What a mighty good man.

I agree, I also think He was the only son of God, came to die for our sins so those of us that believe in Him will not have to go to Hell on judgment day, to send His holy spirit to live in us and be our counselor.

I believe Jesus was the person that each of us can never be. He put himself in vulnerable positions, always spoke the truth, respected everyone, (even those who were sinners), always set the right example, and ultimately gave up his life for all of mankind.
