It shouldn't. Airbag deployment depends on a series of sensors that detect a sudden change in speed or movement in the vehicle, not an actual impact. To put it simply, airbags detect when the car experiences an EXTREMELY sudden slowdown or change in direction like when you hit something, but they won't detect you actually hitting something. So as far as I know, hit your airbags from the inside if you really want to, although I don't reccomend trying if you don't want to do expensive damage to your car.

Yes and no. If you hit it, no. If something really hard hit it and hit it hard then yes. But be careful. It costs alot of money to get new airbags and have them put in. And depending on the year and make of your vehicle, you might not be able to get airbags put in it after they come out.

I think you mean if you hit the steering wheel where the airbag is stored, then no. The senors aren't in the steering wheel.
