It looks very unnatural and he yelps when he's walking while erect, since his penis drags on the floor. It honestly strecthes up to his jaw and I don't even know if theres anything you CAN do to help him out. Its kind of funny, but I wanted to know if anyone else has had or does have this problem.

Normal. I have three dachsunds and the one that I have not fixed is HUGE. He's the smallest of the three and the youngest. My standard male is very, very tiny in comparison. Vet says it's because he is not fixed and that I fixed my standard at 6 months and it restricts some of the growth in that area and over time, with no excitement there, it just stays pocketed. When your dog has to pee, it get even larger.
Good luck. Take him to the vet. If it's hurting him, something has to give.

I have a Bichon like that. I noticed because he cries. The vet said if he isn't fixed {neutered} he will drag it in dirt and it will get infected.So I had him fixed. He still does it and still cries but now it is only half as long.It doesn't drag on the floor anymore.
I asked the vet couldn't chop it off because when he lays down it sill hits the floor. He said it can't be chopped down . The only thing that can be done is for him to take the meds they give pedophiles. Everyday. But after his operation he only does it twice a year.

I'd say that's not normal. At least not on the daschaunds I've seen. I'd say call your vet because that sounds very uncomfortable and unhealthy for the dog.

Wow that really sucks. What if a human had that problem!? Hilarious. I guess you could put a sock on it so if it drags it won't bother him as much. I'd say get him neutered but how would you like it if they took your penis? I've never had a dog, but really want one. If you go to this site and scroll down , you will see a pic of the spaying of a cat. Go at your own discretion.

hee hee - but seriously littler dogs are just big dogs bred down to be smaller in stature, but the internal organs and etc are still the original size. It could be nothing but i would talk to your vet

take him to the vet!!!! hurry!!! thats a really weird problem and the vet might not chop it off but make it shorter or something... JUST DO IT! and today before it is too late.. do it right after you read this... DO IT DO IT DO IT please do it now! get his packed up and ready to go,
