It should be far more than before, especially seeing that it's the King's 60th jubilee, so there are a lot of events that already have the tourists coming down. 5th December will be the King's birthday and you can be sure of a lot more events. I think Thailand is recovering very well and we are expecting more guests this year. Plus we have so many new hotels, so many new undiscovered places.

I believe it will be a super season at least in Phuket. Some hotels,even very expensive ones are fully booked for the high season since month's. Many more people would love to come but can't find affordable flights anymore...

I doubt the effects of recent events will have any impact on the numbers, and given the increased publicity campaigns conducted by the Tourism Authority of Thailand I cannot see numbers reducing in any way.

Hopefully more! the tsunami areas were very low last year and it hurt all of the people who depend on the tourist industry very much. But as it's approaching the two year anniversery of the tsunami, I think people will forget to be afraid of it reoccuring and go back to vacationing there...

I think there will be less tourists, as Europeans are now more concerned with the new Thai government in place.

Well looking at the hotel prices right now, there is no doubt that Thailand expect tourists this high season.

I have noticed that the price for air tickets are going up too, so I think
many tourist are planning Christmas new year in Thailand.

Thailand seems quite stable after the Thaksin was removed, and its only in south there seems to bee problems.
