Response to Jimmy R.---First of all good response and I have heard it a million times. The first problem is with Matthew 22:19-21. This scripture is unrelated to goverments, because governments are created and ran by men, while this scripture refers to Divine law which is gods law, not men.
Second problem is Matthew 5:17-20. This scripture appears to be pro government, but the context reveals something else. Jesus was nonviolent, nonresistant, and compassionate. It would be against all of jesus' teachings to reccomend resistance to a government force. Rather jesus was teaching to live simply, so you don't need to be ruled by these power hungry people and to live off of what nature already provides. BUt, if you can't live according to Jesus' ways, then do not resist these powers for that would be evil.
It is obvious Jesus was living the life of an anarchist as so was his followers. He lived outside mans authority and under gods. Do you really believe he would reccomend...

.....that man should live under mans law. Obvious answer is no. But if people don't have it in their heart to live Jesus' way...then he is not going to tell people to rebel against mans law...for that would be against everything he teaches.
There is no contradiction between being a Christian anarchist and reccomending people not to resist a force that will only be a cause for more evil.
jesus just wants you to live under gods law of love and all that it entails...not mans law.
remember in the gospels where satan tries to tempt jesus with rule over all the nations of the earth. it is because satan has rule over all the nations of the earth and has the power to give that power away....and so he tempted jesus with that kind of power that only men crave. So, knowing that satan rule the nations...would it make sense for jesus to say resist these nations, when they have a choice of living his simple life and rule of god where you can live free of mans law and out fromans rule.

No, Jesus was not an anarchist. Thsi can be proven in the following statements:
Matthew 22:19-21- Show me the coin used for paying the tax." They brought him a denarius, and he asked them, "Whose portrait is this? And whose inscription?"
"Caesar's," they replied.
Then he said to them, "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's."
And also: Matthew 5:17-20
17"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

A Christian is a follower of Jesus. How can Jesus be a follower of himself? As for him being an anarchist, yes he was. He questioned any authority other than God.

According to the social structure of his day, Jesus was the original Christian anarchist, and certainly one of several Jewish ones. This of course is only a personal opinion and a result of looking at the results of his ministry.

Well, seeing as how Christianity did not start until he died and rose again, I think its practically impossible to have been a Christian anything.
I did read the wikipedia definition, and found it a bit offensive as a Christian....they are defining Christian fundamentalism and chose to call it christian anarchism. Oh well, live and let live.
Just my 2 cents

Never heard of that before. Seems to me like he was an anarchist, ready to send the current system down the tubes. Interesting.

No.
Jesus Christ preached only a rare and very radical form of love, which still tends to bring out both the best and the worst, in people today.

No evidence that Jesus was a Christian!!
His disciples were first called Christians in Antioch. At first it was a derogatory term. But it meant "a person like Christ".
Jesus was (and is) the Christ. He was not "like Christ".
