There's this girl I've liked for a long time, and she knows I like her, and rumour has it that she likes me alot aswell. We're very close friends and enjoy each others company alot, some people say we look like a couple even though we 'haven't made it official'
Seems perfect, right?
But i'm an incredibaly shy person when it comes to romance, hence why I haven't asked her out yet, but now I've decided to step up and finally do it.
So here's my masterplan, it's her birthday very soon, so I've had one dozen red roses delivered to her house, and with influence from the saying "what you can't say, you can still write" I've send a card with the rosrs and in that card Is everything I want to tell her, how I've been too shy to ask her, how much I love her and asking if she would want to go out with me.
I thought it would be really romantic.
Now I'm worried it's too much, and it might frighten her away from me, and I really don't want that.
I need to know your opions on this.

if you dont try now you will never know what you could be missing. i dont think it will destroy the relationship if she declines going further but at least you would have told her how you feel. i think you have a very good chance that she feels the same. read tips on dating and relationships to help you more on this site

Oh wow. That's the perfect first gesture in my books. If she doesn't go out with you after that than she never will. You say you're shy when it comes to romance but I think probably you've just been storing it up for the right girl. Hope she says yes.

It all depends on the type of girl she is, and you know her better than I do, even if you're not really sure if you know her well enough.
If I get your question right, it's all organized. Even if you could call it back, don't do it, because then you would always ask yourself: "Wasn't my masterplan exactly the right thing to do?"

Yes on the card...roses are nice...the "love" thing is overboard though...you don't know her well enough to know if you love her or not...you like her, you may be infatuated with her, but love at this point (before your first date) is WAY premature...
If this is already done though, it's a moot point...I hope it turns out as you desire...good luck!

Hmmm. . .well, kudos for trying. If I liked a guy (and I really like shy guys, it's so sweet!) and he did this for me, I'd probably be all over him. My husband was very cute when he was trying to tell me that he liked me. Actually, come to think of it, it was pissing me off a bit considering I was throwing clues around left, right and centre. . .

That sounds sweet but I would have wait to say the I love you until she said it first but if she likes you as everyone is telling you then you should be OK

i dont think you have scared her its prob, what she has been waiting for but didnt know how to tell you as well, i think you did the right thing i would love it , send me some to, she will enjoy it hope things work out for the 2 of you!! good luck!
