I agree with the Bad Liberal, my Christian friends (most of them) are much better behaved, and so are my atheist friends, far better behaved. But that is the internet for you. Think about this, when you are talking to someone face to face, you have no safety, when you are talking on the phone, you are a little braver, get on the internet and you are ten feet tall and bulletproof. Some people are just ignorant and rude....God forgive me...screw them if they are not nice.

My family is the same way and I will be very interested in seeing some of the answers to this question. Even my mother, who was mortally offended when I choose to follow the Craft, recognizes that my path may not be the same as hers. She has come to accept my decision.
To Christians, I will say only this: Riley speaks the truth. If I had any interest at all in your beliefs (which I do not), forcing them on me would only push me further away. I understand that you have been charged with helping us to find salvation, and I respect that, but you also need to understand that not everyone shares your views or your enthusiasm.
God gave us all free will, I think even you would agree with that statement. Part of that free will is choosing whether or not to find salvation through Jesus. Feel free to tell us of the peace that you find, but understand that no means no.

in what sense are folks insulting and negative?
We are to respect all! We are not to argue doctrine.
Maybe the ones you have read, non believers triggered the responds that you think was insulting and negative.
Remember you can't hear the pitch nor tone of a post. Only your own pitch and tone when reading it.

I would have to say that you are a very lucky person and are right to be proud of your parents and friends. I find that the worst examples of religious arrogance are often expressed by the most ignorant people. Not uneducated, but just plain ignorant and insensitive.

You always have a few bad apples in every bunch. A true Christian will answer with respect, dignity and honestly in love.

Although I'm not a Christian, I have quite a few friends that are, and they never disrespect my Native American beliefs. I love them dearly, and likewise respect them and their beliefs.

My Christian friends are a lot nicer than some of the people calling themselves that you find on here.

I am the same! I respect everyone! Even those that are rude to me when they answer my questions! I believe God gave us all a mind of our own! If you choose not to serve God that is your business! So if I have offended anyone please forgive me!

I believe everyone is entitled to believe or disbelieve whatever they want. As long as it is not pushed on me I am fine with all.
