I'm really looking for a glass container with a lid

There are both glass and ceramic containers with lids. I would recommend the ceramic ones, as it is not all that pleasant to look in and see the teeth in a glass container. But I remember such nice ceramic denture cups in antique stores that they must be a pretty old phenomenon. Or perhaps the antique ones were originally made for something else. That's where I would start; a nice antique and collectibles store.

Look online for a porcalein denture cup. Many "junk" catalogs such as Harriet Carters, Lillian Vernons or such sell them too.

Or, you can use virtually ANY porcelain dish with a lid, can't you? Just look for one the right size.
