a world with harmonious living and religious tolerance is the best.

Either.
One religion would get rid of religious problems assuming EVERYBODY follows it to its law and assuming that that religion does somehow make the world better which is highly subjective.
A world without religion has been shown to be better in that there were no religious wars until people believing in religion showed up. That could be perceived as being a better world but again is highly subjective.
It's all about philosophy not religion.

Of course holding no mystical beliefs is better. The ultimate goal of all irrational acts is death and destruction. The only way to life is to use your human mind to reason. Anything less is immoral. A hippie who believes in the nonsense of "Society" is just as bad as the Fundamentalist who believes in the nonsense of "God."
It's not enough though to just abandon religion, you have to come up with a philosophy of life to replace it. Which is why Richard Dawkins and the South Park episode about the religion-free future was fatally flawed. If our basic proposition is that the individual human and his inviolate reasoning mind and right to property is the most important thing, then anything that gets in the way of that life is wrong, so the use of force against others must be abandoned along with religion and each human being must only relate to others on the basis of fair trade. No religion advocates this concept, and it is final proof of religion's and all mysticism's flaw, force or fair trade? You know which is better.
Look at Lilypie99 up there. She wants to rid the world of humans and reduce it to a violent world of mindless animals. She thinks that's better! She wants to kill us all. That's what your mysticism says: don't think and die. Do domesticated animals come about naturally, not through direct human intervention? And that animals are nicer than humans? Twisted backwards blanking out of the facts.

A world without. What has religion given us to better the world? If you can answer that without relating to spirituality, then maybe religion has contributed. As far as I know, there has been no contribution from religion that has benefited the world.

Neither one is feasible. There are too many things that vary from belief system to belief system for there to truly be one cohesive religion without dissent. A world without religion would be a world without hope or inspiration to be the best you could be. Religion is the one thing that a believer holds more dear than life itself.

I don't think either would work so I really couldn't speak to what would be better. Once again, our natural instinct for hierarchy and dominance would kick in and our one religion would have 10000 denominations and our world without religion would be fighting over something else to put one "clan" over the other. I think we often forget, because of our intelligence, that we're still animals at the very core of our brains.

Some people freely think for themselves and live happy productive lives without fear of offending or being offended. They don't criticise others or see reason to put people down based on what the other people think. Sound like nice people? What part of their lives do you think religion plays?

Neither. A world with many options for religion or no religion is better. Heck that's where we are isn't it.

NEITHER!! people could not live without a religion, and people couldnt live with only one, so many different religions worship different things, so one religion would really suck... but if i HAD to pick one, i would say no religion...
