No. I have gotten very respectful answers when I ask about Christianity. And I have answered some questions that were asked in a respectful manner about my beliefs.
I never judge an entire group by the actions of a few.

I don't really ask questions about christians' beliefs because I was raised as a christian and I'm pretty "up" on the whole christian belief system.
But I do expect, and I am almost always right, rude /offensive answers from christians to questions about paganism that people ask.
I don't ask a lot of Q's but whenever I click a Q about Tarot or rituals or just paganism in general, the first couple of answers will invariably be from some christian butt-in-ski interjecting his/her two cents worth about how we are communing with the devil.
It gets tedious.

No, I don't expect offensive questions. Some Christians (and members of any other religion) ask very intelligent and thought-provoking questions. As a rule, however, I do expect that when I answer a question that asks about my beliefs, I will auotmatically receive at least two thumbs down for my answer, and that they are usually from Christians.
I can't answer the latter question, as I tend not to ask questions about others beliefs. I would like to think, however, that some Christians are perfectly capable of being open-minded and carrying on a conversation without resorting to name-calling and childishness.
Pity those who are not capable of seeing past one's religious preference to learn about the real person.

I automatically expect people to ask me if I kill babies and murder small animals. I expect to be told that I don't know how to love and am without compassion. I expect to be told what I believe - because they all seem to know what I believe even though they're usually wrong. I've gotten the same questions at least once a month for the last 17+ years. And I automatically expect nasty answers to my questions and thumbs down on all my answers. Esepcially when my answers suggest more than one god or mention my religion.

Yes, I expect some negative answers from people when asking questions on yahoo, or at the very least a bible quote.
But not all Christians are negative, offensive, or pushy, many are very open to new ideas, It just seems to be less of them on Yahoo! Answers. ( or they just dont bother to answer.)

no i expect nasty answers and offensive questions from fundamentalist bigots.
the vast majority of christians are as dissatisfied with the organised church as most of us are.
most of them just want to learn about the peace and love of Jesus, and do not understand why the vocal minority seems to make it look like Gay marriage will bring about the appocylapyse.
on this site thart are many wonderful people that answer questions within the realm of their beliefs. and then there are a few that just use that belief as something to hide their hatred of everyone not like them.

Sadly enough I do expect offensive or hateful questions from christians. If I had a dollar for every time someone said "Your going to burn in the fires of hell!" I'd be rich.

I am a Christian, and this question makes me sad.
On behalf of all who have failed to respect you, I apologize.
A true Christian practices love and kindness, not squabbling. I know that there has been much of this, I am ashamed about it.
Remeber though as imperfect humans we all screw up, this is a very common CHristian error. Not saying its right, but I hope you understand and empathize with a struggling christian the way you would hope they empathize with a struggling wiccan, jew or anything.
Hope you hear my heart, I respect you and your beliefs.
Thanks,
David

I don't expect offensive questions until someone asks one. If we spend all of our time expecting the worst, the worst will happen.

To be honest, I expect and receive them from all faiths. Christians do tend to be the most hurtful though.
