Actually you're all wrong (but kinda right at the same time)... Pineapples DO contain seeds. They are a fruit, and the very definition of fruit is that it contains seeds (one of the reasons a tomato is a fruit is that it has seeds).

The pineapples you buy in shops are produced specially for consumption by us greedy people, and are UNPOLLINATED, and therefore have not produced seeds.

Native pineapples more commonly DO have seeds, and if you look at the link below (or even a quick search for "pineapple seeds") you'll see more info, if you really want it.

Hi >
Of course they have seeds.
Otherwise pineapples would not be with us..
I agree with onlt one answer above, in that the seeds are not held in the fruit, but on the stem of the tree, basically.
I had a small pineapple tree in the Mid-East, and as long as you look after the trunk of the thing, never mind the actual fruit, all is well.
It was the same with my little banana tree.
Pick the bananas, yes, but leave the tree alone.
Job Done Bob.
Small versions of said fruit, and healthy peoplr ant trees.

The seeds of pineapples are at the base of the plant, not in the fruit.

No, I've never seen a seed in a pineapple.

No, they do not produce seeds. Pineapple grows on the central stem of the plant with only one fruit borne on each plant. Every plant produces suckers and these grow in a leaf axil off the parent stem. These suckers subsequently produce a second or "ratoon" crop of fruit.

no. if you're trying to grow your own:Get a pineapple and cut the top off. Allow the top to dry out for one to three weeks. Plant it in soil, and it will root itself.

No but it does have a core. The hard part in the middle is usually cut around leaving a hole in a slice of canned pineapple. The core isn't very tasty to eat.

No. I understand they are grown by getting cuttings from the crown or some such.
