God is love.

Without Him there is no love, period!

It depends on your interpretation of God. There are too many variables to give a definitive answer on this question but I think if you are able to love all human beings selflessly then you must have the love of God anyway....in whatever sense you interpret him/her/it...in my interpretation God is the collective energy of human beings loving each other. So even without the conventional belief in the 'God' of the bible, I still feel I have the love of God.

I don't believe this crap about not being made to love selflessly without divine guidance. We don't need crutches to find our true selves, we don't need a higher being to be responsible to or to blame. We need to find our own true selves and take total responsibility for who we are, warts and all. Only then can we love selflessly-the truth is there is only selfless love, anything else is not love. We need to grow out of our comfort blankets and embrace all of who we are and accept ourselves and others completely and selflessly. This is what any God would have wished and he/she would not have intended to create a race of sissies that need Daddy/Mommy to tell them how to behave the whole of their lives. Humanity simply has to mature and grow up.

I don't think human being can love selflessly even with the love of God. We still have our prejudices and subtle steoryotypes that we carry.

Well, maybe not everyone. Let's face it - some people make it hard for us to love them. Like serial killers for example. It's hard to love a psychopath selflessly. Maybe from afar... but not close up and personal. There's faulty wiring there and some people have the compassion part of their brain turned off.

No, it's not possible. Humans were not made to govern themselves. We need divine intervention for guidance on how to love one another and live.
