im presuming that you're wanting to travel abroad to do gap year stuff, sooo..

www.gapyear.com/placements

theres a list of all the different things you can do, the subsections have the age requirement on the side of each activity, some of which are 17+.

another great site is www.travellersworldwide.com, which also accepts 17+ peeps for their overseas placements. :) good luck!

Not Really. The whole idea of a Gap year is to give yourself a break from study and allow time for personal growth.

This means you really have to be a student at Uni/college. Legally to take advantage of cheap flights/accomodation and other things, you have to be 18 years or over. To take a gap year you need international student status. Some countries will not let you in or allow you to work if you are not 18 or over.

Why not work and travel in the UK for a while? This would be great fun and good experience!

Study first and then you can think about world travel. Just think- it gives you an incentive............'if I pass my first year at uni I can go to_______.'
