Yes and No.

By lifting and by progressively increasing effort your muscles will grow, guaranteed. Of course eating rice is OK but only as part of a balanced diet including proteins, good fats and other carbs.

Also, depending on how hard you exercise, supplements could be useful. Beginner, intermediate or advanced?

Remember this. Muscle growing takes place during the resting & recovery days between lifting days. So growing depends on resting.

The Finnish considered exercise physiology authorities discovered the following:

1. Make any lifting session 45 minuts or shorter to prevent overstressing your muscles beyond grow stimulation.

2. It's also a good idea to have a protein/carb snack 20 to 30 minuts before lifting and another similar snack right after exercising.

3. Always do any cardio activity AFTER lifting. Lift first, cardio later.

Question satisfied?

Well, rice is carbohydrate-rich, so if you are looking to just put on pounds, then it will work. However, to gain muscle you need protein with it. Try to eat carbs like rice before lifting, so you have energy, and protein afterwards to help heal your muscles. Of course, the best is to have a balanced diet, because you also need veggies, and fruits, etc. for vitamins, minerals and other good things.

Yah, rice is like a natural steroid. I don’t know of anything more effective then rice. Because rice is like pure protein.

What does rice have to do with getting bigger.

NO!!! You need to eat a lot more and not just rice. First of all you need to eat protein, like in everything you eat needs be protein. That's the first step. You sound very uneducated about health. I suggest you talk to a dietitian or personal trainer if you want to be like a body builder.

I think to build muscle you need to consume more protein... and rice doesn't have much--if any--of that. Try incorporating more protein into your diet.

you need protein to rebuild muscle tissue, meat, dairy, fish etc rice will provide carbohydrates...energy to burn during workouts, better if it is brown or wild, try sweet potatoes (yams) for good complex carbohydrates and for something different.
