Exercise and start calorie counting. Work out your BMR and try to eat about 500 calories a day less than this.
Running is one of the best ways to lose weight, cycling, swimming, rowing are also very good. If your not comfortable with these try dancing to your favorite music in your bedroom for an hour a day.
Don't try to lose it too quickly, 2 pounds a week maximum, or your skin will not have time to adjust.
Good luck.

The most you can safely lose is 8 pounds in two months (one pound a week). This is almost two dress sizes, which will make a difference. There is no magic formula to losing weight, but you do need to eat properly, and take in less than what you are eating now. Make sure you are drinking a glass of milk and eating cheese/yogurt everyday. Plan for a dessert--there are some great low-cal ones. The amount of calories you take in a day are determined by your height and current weight. A great program is Weight Watchers, and they do have an online version instead of meetings. The cost is minimal.

That can't happen unless you starve for a straight 30 days. But I dont think you can or SHOULD do that. Instead, start working out. Cardio - Take a pet for a walk twice a day. Go and run around the block. Walk to school. Anything to keep you active. Join a new class like Yoga or kickboxing.
Eat VEGETABLES AND FRUITS FOR 3 DAYS. Then phase in grains and dairy. Don't eat red meat for a while. Actually, I'm a vegetarian so I'm biased about this but Don't eat meat. hehe. And wake up with a smile on your face and know that every day is a chance to make something better :)

WHEN YOU ARE 15 I DONT RECOMMEND GOING ON AN EXTREME DIET LIKE LOSING 20LBS IN A MONTH.
you must be still growing... do you want to live as a midget for the rest of your life? if you stop eating, you still stop growing.
you can lose 20lbs over a long period of time by eating healthy (dont drink pop, dont eat fast food etc) and exercise regularly and STILL grow. however, at that age you should not cut down your calories to the extreme. Watch what you eat - limit your calories to 2000 a day.
Also.. if I were you I'd join indoor track or basketball - school sports WILL help you get skinny AND make you more popular.
And.. when you turn 18, you can start throwing up or not eat and you can basically do whatever you want with your diet.

In order to lose 20 pounds in a month, you would have to do something very unhealthy like throwing up or not eating. The average person if they are eating right, eating in moderation, and exercising on a regular basis only loses 2 pounds a week.

Losing more than 2-3 pounds a week is unsafe. Most of what you lose quickly is water weight (fluids) which you need. If you do something drastic to lose weight that fast your electrolytes may be out of balance...(when doing someting like throwing up or using diuretics, or laxatives for example).
The best way to lose weight is to be sensible. Start slow in the exercise department if you are currently not exercising...and eat foods that are not laden with sugar, salt, and preservatives. This means fresh fruit and veggies. Try to restrict drinking large amounts of juice or soda (they are laden with sugar and tend to cause fat in the abdomen). If you still like fruit juice buy a juicer and make your own. Mostly stick to water instead, and keep moving. I guarantee that you will see results. Good Luck!

Well..if you are in between skinny and fat. You sound about average. I don't know what your eating habits are, but try to find out what your BMI is?? You can do this by going to a gym or go to msnhealth.com do a search for BMI. You need to find out how many calorie's you burn a day and how much you consume. So...lets say for instance...you burn 1200 calories a day....in order to lose weight you would need to burn over 1200. Pretty simply mathematics. Another thing...cut out the junk food and try to eat smaller portions. You would also have to exercise about five to six days a week. Mostly cardio, such as running, biking, etc. Two days weight strengthening. It's possible to lose the weight within two months. You have to be consistent with it. Good luck.

It isn't a good idea. If you want to loose weight to keep it off, loose it slowly and with ample exercise. I was anorexic when I was younger, don't let yourself fall into that please. Remember slower is better. And get the help of family and friends, its easier to drop a few pounds if others are doing that, rather than if you're the only one.
