Pros are we they are filling a great underbelly work force that unskilled, manual laborers need to fill. And don't say they aren't, cause your full of ****!
Cons, don't see any. They've been here for 200 years, what's the problem NOW?
Why do you need a solution for a non-existant problem?
Our government is "reactive" not "proactive." That is, until people make noise about something, they don't do anything. Then when noise is made, they make a bust, something like that, to show their "goodwill" and then everyone quiets down and so does the government. Your tax dollars at work!

I don't know which country you're in so i'll simply assume and answer the pros and cons and possible solutions bit since the question is quite broad.
Pros
- they provide cheap labour in develped countries. This lowers production costs and therefore lowers the consumer price of goods/services
- They do jobs that many locals find too small or demeaning to do. They therefore ensure that the country has basics like clean loos and stuff like that.
- They can introduce benefitial cultural events and other activities that were not done by the locals. Such as introduction of sports, foods, etc.
- They increase the market for goods and services.
Cons
- They don't pay taxes and thus loss of govt. revenue and they are also a burden on the local tax payer.
- They put pressure on social services and facilities due to the increase in population they cause. It leads to a drop in quality of these things.
- They might not adapt properly to the culture and also might be looked down upon. These could lead to aggressive behaviour, gang formation and depression.
- They increase unemployment, lower the minimum wage and in the process they could increase crime rates.
- They could bring socially undesirable activites such as FGM.
Possible Solutions
- Ease immigration laws so as to make it easier for them to be legal immigrants.
- Have civic eductation teaching tolerance and understanding of other cultures.
- Have locals appreciate their contibution and make inroads to give them some sort of immigration status where they can't be exploited.
This is by no means an exhaustive list of the pros and cons and possible soultions. I got them from classroom discussions and stuff.
Hope that helps

Illegal immigrants have come into our contry illegally. Many people complain that they are living in our country, taking American's jobs and not paying taxes. Otherwise, they take jobs American's don't want. If they all left, we would have many jobs unfilled.
Solutions: Pay to ship all of them out of the country, allow them citizenship, just a few solutions.
What the government is doing: Taking some out of the country. They are also letting illegal immigrants stay, as long as they apply for a green card now. Eventually they will be allowed citizenship. Its the best they can do right now.

I agree with Harry M, His response was very well put.I am from Britain, and all i can say is that if illegal immigrants were allowed to work, they would not have to depend on government resources and the government funds would not be stretched ,because they would be contributing to them through taxes.Am quite sure most illegal immigrants are not work shy, they are actually pretty hardworking people too.

Pros?- they steal jobs from American citizens!
Cons?- they steal SS# from Americans citizens!
Facts- Illegal immigration is harmful to America and Americans- in so many ways that my brain and fingers will go on strike if I try to tell you about them!
Solution- Enforcement of our existing laws and creating supplemental laws to force attrition which is when the illegal aliens remove themselves as a result of a lack of resources to sponsor their illegal activity.
Government?- Not enough to solve the problem at this time!

This question is to hard to answer, I don't want any illegals dead, but they are making life in the US harder for people like me. I wish we could help everyone but we can't. Build the wall and raise the limits of immigrants, the ones already here need to pay hefty fines to help pay down the national debt, or go back and come through legally.

I will tell u a fact about illegal immigration.
we need them to do the fields. straw berry pickers, lettuce etc. Many say americans can do it. Thats a lie. No American is going to go out picking vegetables in the field all day. Some say raise the salary. No farmer is going to pay 50k a year for each american to pick the fields , when they have over 200 employees its ridiculous. Thats why we had slavery because americans didnt want to do the work. didnt want to do the work back then and they wont want to do the work NOW.

No cititenship, no amnesty, no housing, no medical care, make them pay for their trip back, land mines on the border, no welfare, no food stamps, no education. This is just a start.
