If you are truly born of God, the assurance is given to you from God.

Once a person has confessed Jesus Christ Lord & believed in ones heart the atonement for sins and resurrection, person is born of God. Not of ones own will or power. But by the blood of the Lamb & the will of God.

Claim the bible verses. By grace you are saved and not by works lest anyone boast. Once we are washed clean in the blood, there is nothing we can or cannot do to be more or less righteous before God. When God looks at us, He sees Christ righteousness.

Once we are born of God inheriting everlasting life, we must continually work out our salvation in Christ. That means we obey God's direction throughout the day. That means praying in spirit & truth & reading His Word every morning. To renew our mind in God's Truth.

God assures me in my Spirit. If I didn't get assurance from God, I would have lost faith a long time ago.

Getting to heaven is a matter of faith, a matter of form, and a matter of love.

Faith in Christ, typically evidenced by baptism into his church, which is necessary for salvation.

Observance of a few commandments and precepts, along with contrition and true repentance when you fall short.

Love for God and love for your neighbor.

Jesus himself says we can depend on all of these to sanctify us, to keep us on the right path and help us persevere in grace, and eventually make it to heaven.

It also helps to be a part of the universal church that Jesus personally founded, which is the Catholic Church, because the Catholic church enjoys the fullness of all God's provision and truth.

Don't worry.

Be happy.

God loves you, and he'll supply whatever you need, through his church.

I do not understand why Christians live to get into heaven. They worry, they deny themselves things that are not bad, just to be sure they are good enough to get into heaven.

Worry about this life. Live a good and decent life, and the rest will take care of itself. If there is a heaven you will go. You can make this life a heaven or a hell. It is as simple as that.

P.S. If you worry so much about heaven, it seems to me you are making this life a hell for yourself.

Why worry about a reward that may or may not exist? Focus on living a good life here and now, that's all that truly matters. And should Heaven really exist, then your decent life here on Earth should be enough to get you "in."

The only thing you can control and have a guarantee is how you treat others. Treat all people with respect and decency and you'll live a fulfilling and joyful life.

I think that you are not fully surrendering yourself to the grace and mercy of Christ. You are still caught in a legalistic mindset, and you are "trying" to do everything right so you get into heaven.

Righteous works will flow out of love, when you do surrender yourself, but right now you are trying to manipulate God to save you based on what you do. This never works.

Trust in God, seek relationship with poor people who have the most to teach us, and through those relationships you will discover the mercy, love, and grace of Christ.

He who has the Son has life, he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone pluck them out of my hand.In hope of eternal life which God, who can not lie, promised before time began.
There are numerous similar scripture verses, but I hope these have helped. The presence of the Holy Spirit in a Christian's life is also a guarantee of eternal life.

How can anyone truely know? Just live your life and appreciate it for what it is. Try to better yourself as a person and think of others not only of yourself. I'm sure you'll be fine. Just don't rape or kill anyone(sorry to put it so brutally)

You don't know for sure, you have to have faith. I believe that God is Love, and since He loves us all so much, (He really does), that he sees our hearts, and will bring us to heaven. Meanwhile here on earth, I try to be good, be kind, not harm anyone, I think that is the way to heaven.

God Bless You
