I'm kind of an authority on this subject since I have worked at a school for 22 years. Schools have changed so much and I agree with you in part not to the better. Please for a minute put yourself in the teacher's place. Most of the time they have little or no parental support. They aren't allowed to discipline the children, and the children know this. In my state they have to teach to a test in which if the children don't perform well they may lose their jobs. People say they get paid all summer when they don't work. Well what you don't realize is that they take your nine months of work and spread the checks out into twelve (twenty four if you get paid twice a month) equal payments. That way you clear so much less than you really make. So the next time you think your life as a student is bad, consider the lives of your teachers.

I find our local elementary school to be good. As well as our middle and high school.
I guess its the area you live in, the number of students, and the morals that family's/children bring with it.

school is what you make of it. get involved in activities offered such as sports or clubs. homework is no fun but it helps build on what you are learning. not all of the things you learn in school you will use in life but it is building your foundation for your life.being well rounded in subjects is better than "uh! you want fries with that" attitude strive to be better!!!!!

there is usualy other kids not raised right and they pick on the good kids. and some teachers are incrediably boring.
