Yes. As a child I was closest to God(s) outside in nature. I felt there was little difference between me and all other living things. I felt at one with nature and the natural universe. Like I was part of something larger than myself and that my existance was purposeful. I lost that in my teens when I became more self aware and began thinking for myself. I became seperated from God(s). My spiritual path has bought me back to that feeling I had as a child.

I was 3, living in NJ, and it felt great to know that He was there. I used to think I was able to make the sun go in and the sun come out. Later I realized it was God making the clouds cover the sun. He told me I have a purpose to be here and that I will make it in this life. After a few years the enemy tried to hide the truth that already existed within me. At the same time my soul was fought over by God and the evil one. Needless to say God won!!! We are close and talk often. He is my Friend and I am His. I wont turn my back on my Friend ever again. It is so liberating to have Him in my life. PRAISE JESUS!!!!!!!!!

As a child I had to go to church with my parents every Sunday. I felt the presence of the other church goers. Some of them wore their Sunday best only to church. They didn't realize that clothes get quite over-ripe is not cleaned.
Mom would keep her eye on me. When she saw me starting to turn green, she would tell me to go outside for some fresh air, and wait until service was over.
I never felt that I was close to God. I have a great imagination, but not along religious lines.

As a child, no. Not until I was 14.

Not sure what you mean by "how", but I was at a Christian retreat my school visits, during worship. Ive felt it different ways, but that time it was a sort of tingling, almost like when youre coming out of a numbness, but softer.
