I am a born again Christian and some of what I see here really makes my heart heavy.
Please, I urge you brothers, sisters! Let us stop preaching and start practicing Love. God's will is to Love one another. He wasnt just talking about other Church people!
Non Believers do NOT want to be preached at I have found. So why do we preach at them?? This is not from the spirit of God but from the will of man and the religious system. Can we not show them Christianity practiced? Why just preaching??
What would Jesus think of how we speak to others here? These are God's children, speak in love!
Why do we judge others beliefs? Others lives? Jesus said "you should not judge"
I beg of you, practice it, dont preach it! See how you feel for one week, if its worse, go back to your old ways! your spirit will awake!
Stay away from questions instigating fights. Let people squabble amongst themselves!
I BEG YOU, this is from my heart! Unbelievers can be respected and loved! Try??

That was the reason I came on here in the first place was to show all the love of Jesus,,somehow it turned into a fighting match,,lol..I am glad you wrote this it takes me back a bit...

We are to both practice it and preach it. We aren't to whitewash everything and everybody and call it love.
We are to contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints. People are deceived. They are without hope, unless they hear and accept the truth. If we accept them as they are, and say nothing, this is hate and not love. It proves we don't care what happens to them. "Just let them go ahead and believe their lies. It will all come out in the wash. They'll be okay"
THEY WON'T BE OKAY. THEIR SOULS ARE IN THE BALANCE. WE DARE NOT. WE MUST NOT CLOSE OUR MOUTHS AND REFUSE TO HELP THEM, BECAUSE WE ARE AFRAID THE TRUTH WILL OFFEND.
You're right. It will offend. It always has, but it's the only thing that will save their souls!!!

You are so right! So many of us forget that we were sinners once too.
If you are called to preach, God will give you a place to. I am thinking that it probably won't be a yahoo forum. If anything, as has happened with me, people email me with further questions and responses.
show love, show love, show love.... that is what Jesus does... in answer to the question what would Jesus do.
trying to plant a garden on my knees, not with a bulldozer, is the best way that is know to place the seeds that God gives me to place

I most certainly do. The people on here attacking Christianity and just looking for a fight. You are right, Jesus said "judge not", but you are forgettng the rest of that verse, it continues "lest ye be judged", hello, walk what you talk. I keep to a strict policy of being kind, and not trying to shove my beliefs down my fellow man's thoat, teach by example. The topic on the answer board IS Religion and Spirituality, so one can assume people who ask and answer here are in fact interested in discussing ""Religion and Spirituality". I do not "respect" people who vehemently and ignorantly attack Christians as if they were public enemy number one, that is just stupid.

You've spoken the truth, David.
Unbelievers hear us talk about the love of God, the sacrifice of His beloved Son and the beauty of the gospel message. But way too often those words fall on deaf ears, because even as we talk about the love of God, we communicate hatred, intolerance, judgement and oppression.
We are here to be a beacon and an example of God's love and forgiveness... to be renewed by the Spirit, and to stand as a living testimony of God's grace.
None of us is perfect. We need to let God be God.

sounds like you are preaching to me. what is a christian? what makes you think there is a jesus. i try not to preach to anyone about anything. what would you like me to practice?
