Why not call the rescue group that you got the dog from? I assume it's a rescue since no ethical person would allow their dog to breed without knowing this or without having a better resource than Yahoo! Answers. . .

i realy think you should call the vet to be on the safe side no matter what others say to you we dont know how much blood so for the sake of the pup call the vet i would if i was you normaly the ***** cleans them but dont take risks its not worth it and good luck with the pups ( from a reg breeder of bichon frise) unles you know what you are doing dont use not cotton or string you could do more harm than good if you dont know what you are doing

I've seen it with many dogs. All the mother dogs I have seen just keep cleaning them and licking up what ever they see. The mom usually knows how to take care of them. The mother will bleed for a little while too.

I think they should be ok, but yeah, if you're worried then call your vet. That's what they're there for. Good luck!

And while she does you're able to desire to visual reveal unit her make certain you have a towel and scissors close to with the help of. through fact if she cant get the bag off with the help of herself you're able to desire to decrease it off the puppy. And for the towel you will need it if certainly one of her toddlers comes out died or not respiratory enable her get the bag off if she would be able to then grab the puppy. whether that is lifeless then it potential it died these days and you will revive it. once you're attempting to try this you're able to desire to place the towel on the puppy's back and initiate rubbing rapid the then you you definately swing the puppy not puzzling yet so the puppy can get air in. Then open the puppies mouth and notice whether that is respiratory. whether that is you merely saved a existence whether that is not then shop doing the approach like 5 greater circumstances and if it docent artwork then you definately merely could not shop this one. i actually desire i helped any. :) Sorry for the long factor

not normal but as suggested a bit of cotton should be fine as cord will shrivel and drop off soon enough but puppies dont contain that much blood so dont delay and if in doubt pop them down to your vet

It's normal, but if you're concerned (and if the dog will let you) you can tie off the end of the cord with a string. The cord will eventually fall of on its own.

Not too worry....Mom will take care of it. Give her some time as she's proabably still tired, then she'll be able to care for each one of there individual needs....
Now, if tomorrow it's still leaking I would be concerned...but for now let nature take it's course.
Congradulations on the new babies...
Goodaytoyou! ! ! !

I would think so, but if you are still worried, call the vets in the morning and ask for advice.
