Yes Mum did say that but she also told me to look at the world with open eyes and that it isn't always possible to keep everyone happy all the time. Calling others juveniles just negated your own question.

That might be ok for a mother to say to a child to get the behavior under control. Howerver as adult we have first amendment rights to free speech and freedom of expression. But that does not take away our responsibility that what we say can be hurtful and disruptive. so, are you willing to take responsibility for your verbal expresions?

No, my mother told me a long time ago (since I'm 35 now) that if I have something to say, and I feel it needs to be said, I really HAVE to say it. My mother may have her faults, but she's not a hypocrite.

Actually, this applies to everyone, but lately, I've seen a lot of Christian-bashing.
