I'm sure they're smaller than they used to be and not as crunchy. Same goes for a lot of other snacks like Wagon Wheels.

My Mum says it's because I'm bigger now, so they appear to be smaller in my hands than when I was a child. Hmm, I'm not convinced. Is there a conspiracy going on and is my Mum a part of it?

No, you are right, they are smaller, less crunchy and just nothing like they used to be. Wagon wheels used to be huge, but now tiny. I also think that Mars bars are thinner. I remember them being a lot thicker than they are now.

And going back to Monster Munch, do you remember the adverts for them? I used to love them.

No, you're right! Monster Munch were far bigger! I've always had a big mouth and could barely fit my faves, the pickled onion variety in in one go! Now I can fit about 4 or 5 in with no problem at all! I'm not into Wagon Wheels so not sure about those but I can vouch for Milky Ways and Mars bars (excluding jumbo ones!!) I think your Mum could be responsible actually! And I think my Mum and your Mum must be thick as theives!

The evil government are being biggots and making snack sizes smaller but putting prices up! They are also making the packets smaller and putting only half the amount of snack in them. I'm sure that I will open a packet soon and will find about 3 little monster munch in them!

I think its just so that us old folk who can remember when Wagon Wheels and Monster Munch were huge can say to the kids of today "THey Dont Make 'Em Like They Used To!"

Coz lets face it ... they are about the only things we can say that about these days!

PS If it is a conspiracy, then my mums in on it too!

You are SOOOOO right!!! Monster munch were HUGE! back then.
I reckon they've done the same thing to Cadbury Cream Eggs as well. When i was little it used to take more than 2 mouthfuls to eat it and it used to take ages to lick the insides out! I reckon there IS a conspircay going on and your mum is in on it with my mum!!

LOL x

Absolutely! They were bigger, crunchier and came in longer packets.
Do not trust your mum - she's clearly part of some evil snack plot!
I think Penguins (the biscuit bars not the chilly birds, wise guys) have got smaller too. And my mum agrees.

Maybe it's cos you were smaller, but knowing the way things are in Britain at the moment, it's more likely they are smaller, it's just another company trying to rip of the British public!

so sorry that you have discovered that your mother is part of a government plot! - i can confirm that wagon wheels and creme eggs are indeed smaller than they were when we were kids - as for monster munch i'm not permitted to talk about it without a lawyer present
