What does the word "son" means in this context, if God didn't marriage and had offsprings?

Remember: Christ was not created in Mary. Accorded to theology he is the Eternal Son of God, who exists forever.

What is the meaning of "son" in this theology then?

In many pre-Christian religions the sun was the object of worship. By switching sun with son, humanity continued sun worship. It's just a coincidence I've noticed when studying modern religion alongside pre-Christian theology. Notice all the references to God in the bible as being radient and sustaining life. Without the sun, our planet would be a frozen ice ball.

There is ONE God; He revealed that He eternally exists in three "persons".

He describes the relationship between the First Person and the Second Person as the relationship between Father and Son.

So, the Second Person of the Trinity is spoken of as being the Son of the Father not in the sense of God having married and had offspring; rather, the relationship between the two persons.

As to His full Deity, He existed from all eternity with the Father.
As to His full humanity, He was born of Mary.

The official doctrine is "begotten, not made". Saying that Jesus is the "son" of God has more to do with inter-trinitarian relationships than with Jesus' origins. Metaphorically speaking, Jesus stands in the same relationship to the Father as we should to our fathers, recognizing that neither we nor they are perfect. The Father loves the Son, the Son obeys the Father.

There mere fact that God is, well, *God*, and has not a body like men, would seem to indicate that something as human as marriage would not be involved.

I would direct your attention to the Definition of Chalcedon and the Nicene Creed, which sets forth as clear a statement of the doctrine of Christ as is available.

I don't know what you mean and I am not a theologists or whatever, but here is how I see it. Christ is not the "son" of God in the same way you are your fathers son. He is Gods physical being, or form. He is the Verb. Who was a man and was tangible, and had to be born of a woman. I think the word "son" means that he had to be born like a man, and look up to the non human part of him for guidance and strength. I don't know that is how I understand it.

Jesus is the Son of God. Mary was a virgin, yet Mary was his mother, and God is his father. It is all very clearly explained in the Bible. Jesus Christ is eternal, and lives forever. God Bless!! Any questions, email me!

The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are the Mystery of Mysteries. It's one of the issues that God in His infinite Wisdom has chosen not to divulge.

God (the father), God (the son), and the holy spirit are the holy Trinity. All were alive from the beginning of time.

(the Christians say, "The Messiah is the son of God." Such are the baseless things they utter with their tongues, following in the footsteps of the former unbelievers.May Allah afflict them with chastisement! Wherefrom are they being perverted? They have made their scholars and monks as their Lords beside Allah, and likewise the Messiah, the son of Mary, although they were enjoined not to worship any other than the One Deity, besides Whom there is none worthy of worship. He is absolutely pure and free from what they associate with Him.) holy QUran

(AIIah will say, "O Jesus, son of Mary, did you ever say to the people, 'Make me and my mother deities besides Allah'?" He will say. "Glory be to You! It did not behove me to say that which I had no right to say. Had I ever said such a thing, You would most surely have known it, for You know all that is in my mind, but I do not know what is in Your mind: indeed You have full knowledge of all the hidden things. I never told them anything other than what You bade me. I said, `Worship Allah, Who is my Lord as well as your Lord.' I was a witness to their conduct as long as I remained among them but when You recalled me, You watched over them; for You keep watch aver everything. Now, if You punish them, they are your own servants, and if You forgive them, You are All-powerful and All Wise.
