Out of the shell?
Bring a pot of 1 inch deep water to a rolling boil.
Place leaves of lettuce over a steamer basket then place oysters over the lettuce and insert into pot.
Cover the pot and steam oysters for 5-7 minutes only. You only want to heat through the meat of the oyster. Reserve as much of the juice when serving.

I use a vegetable steamer - Simply place oysters in that and steam for about 10 minutes. They turn out well for me..
