For the Zin, chill for 20 minutes.

For the Merlot (white merlot is delicious, though it's sweet) room temperature. Take the cork out 10 minutes prior to serving.

White wines are usually served chilled and reds are normally best served at room temperature.

Hope that helps!

White merlot is chilled.

For red wines room temperature can be down to 50 degree fahrenheit.

It is chilled, although some like it warm. Just because there is a politically correct way to serve wine doesn't mean you have to do it that way. I won't drink red wine at a restaurant because it's warm, but I'll stick it in the fridge at home. Do what YOU like. That's the "correct" way. :-)
