As long as the jewelry is tasteful why not!!!!!

All of the major cathedrals that I have been to have shops within the building. I have looked over cathedrals all over the world. The Queen Mary cathedral in Orlando has a large shop inside, the Anglican cathedrals in London have shops inside, and Padre Pio center outside of Philadelphia has a shop inside of it.

In addition you might consider dedicating some portion of the profits to the church.

Keep it tasteful and provide some type of theme that supports the religious nature of the environment.

Ignore the nuts.

i don't see why that would be a problem for you to set up your shop in the same building. It's not like you'll be having a long line of customers standing through the aisles and pews while church is in full swing. so go for it, if it's not interfering with people's worship. but that depends on exactly what you're talking about. hopefully you don't mean in the same area, but if there's like a division or something between your shop and the building. wish i had a picture to better explain what i'm talking about. looks like what you're explaining is like say, a plaza, maybe. you have many different shops with their own businesses, only here you're talking about church, so your shop would be next to the church. is that it? if so, that's okay, but if you're saying it's inside the church itself, then that's a no-no. hope you understand.

I think it is in very bad taste for you and your pastor to be doing business from the church building....

NO thats completely unbiblical and blasphemous...church is a place of worship not business...remember when jesus cleaned house at the temple...

John 2:15-17

15And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;

16And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.

17And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.
