The basketball team I play on went against the team he played for in a basketball tournament.

So I needed a Thesis about friends competeing against eachother.

some possible ideas
"competing against a friend is difficult"
"friendships can remain strong when there is competion "
"i thought competing against a friend would be hard and it was/wasnt"
"there are positive things and negative things about competing against a friend"
its always best, in your paper, to list 3 reasons to support your thesis,,,,, such as 3 reasons why it was difficult, if that is your thesis

How did you feel about competing against your friend, what was the experience like? This would be the basis for your thesis. For example, Playing against my friend in the basketball tournament was difficult but would never come between our friendship. Then you would defend it with facts about your friendship and the expedience of the game. Go with what you felt and you should do fine.
