Good thing I did not install IE 7 :D. Have your tried a system restore? Have you tried clicking "show updates" in add/remove programs?

How about do a f*cking search. I guess I'll help you here.....go to Control Panel - Add and Remove Programs - Internet Explorer. By removing IE 7, it will automatically reinstall Internet Explorer 6, as IE is required to run Windows.

i didnt like it at first but you get used to click start open control panel add rem are there give it a go as you will only need to do this not too often
