A dogs gestation is anywhere from 57 to 63 days after breeding.(Most common is about 62 days)
Chihuahuas often have difficult births and need c-sections so please make sure your veterinarian is alerted when her time is near. NO dog should ever be in heavy labor longer than 2 hours without producing a puppy. If they are, then it is time to get the vet and get there fast.

Dogs are a lot like people when it comes to this one. It varies each time.
Basically-
Depending on size of the litter, it could be as little as an hour, (like if there were one or two), up to 6 hours (3-4), or even longer.
There will be breaks between puppies arriving and the mom to be should be attended to through the entire whelping.

It can take up to 15 hours but if she dosnt have anymore in 2 hours after the most reciant call the vet.unless yuo are talking about the gestation period that is 60-63 days

You should not be breeding you dog. Especially since it is a small dog. Be prepared for an emergency c-section. You are not a professional breeder and you know nothing about breeding.
Do your chihuahua a favor and get her spayed.

No, yet I do think of you may spay the dogs, provide or sell the domestic dogs with spay/neuter contracts, and supervise your animals whilst they're outdoors. next time the neighbor's dogs does that, you call animal administration. do not provide the dogs lower back to the neighbor. in charge human beings do not make room for such issues to ensue as their dogs getting unfastened.

i think about 7 months because dogs are a lot alike humans, but give birth faster.
