Jesus meant we would have problems and hard times and this is part of this life living in the world we live, however Jesus overcame the world when He died on the cross for our sins so God is saying Cheer up don't fret don't worry because I have overcome and as a result we become more than conquerors Romans 8:28-39.

This means God has already won, but we sometimes don't see it because of circumstances or dire strait situations that we are facing at this moment, not to mention the tribulation which is even worse.

John 16:33 "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace.

In the world you have tribulations; but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."

This verse is what can give us joy in times of a dire strait situation. knowing that Jesus had already won, and it's up to us to hold on to the truth.

The crown from Jesus to you is there it's not going away, you just have to know that it's there.

Peace

I

The key to understanding this passage lies in one of the most-loved verses in the New Testament: John 3:16

16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. 21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”

Jesus overcame the world (governed by the "prince of this world," Satan) by bringing His light to it. This light will never be understood by the unrighteous, nor will it ever be extinguished (John 1:4-5). When Jesus returns at the Second Coming, He will establish His earthly Kingdom; in the meantime, His light remains here waiting for Him.

Peace.

God has already conquered Satan. We don't perceive it yet, because we live inside time and space. We are to live our lives with absolute faith that the evidence of evil we see in this world has already been overcome. That is, we are to be cheerful, though the alleged evidence of our senses would like to convince us that we have more reason to despair.

If you are a true Christian, you will have tribulation. You will be persecuted for the Truth you believe. If you stand for the True Sabbath and all of the ten commandments, you will have tribulation.
