I assume you are trying to get a job as an RCA.

Forget the gov't auction idea. The USPS no longer sells any RHD vehicles through auction.

Your best source is searching ebay motors under RHD. Your second source is going to the PO and asking a rural carrier to give you a copy of the NRLCA magazine in which you can search the classifieds. Your third choice is to get a LHD with an auto tran, bench seat and a large enough capacity to carry an average volume of mail .

Beware of the old RHD jeeps unless you are a mechanic on the side as they beyond there useful lives and difficult to get parts for.

Try government auctions. However, if you can drive a regular car it shouldn't be to hard to adjust to driving a mail truck. You really don't need to go out and buy a special vehicle to get a job with the postal service. Also you need to think what if they don't hire you, you just wasted money on something you didn't need.

I thought they gave you a truck to use.....Unless you are going to be delivering rural mail. In that case you use your own vehicle, but having a mail truck would be cooler. Try Ebay though. Everythings on there!!

Check with your local post office usually in the city, and if they have a fleet of vehicles. Most generally they will hold auctions once a year. Or ask your local mail carrier for info.
