well, the problem with your question is that there are limited records of ancient armies and their numbers, so all that there is to go on is possible estimates - of the modern militaries, I would say that the Chinese have the largest Army. As far as the largest of all time? who could even know - my guess? either the Persian empire, or the military of Alexander the Great.
