There is nothing wrong with you, its quite normal. Like the old saying goes "the grass is always greener on the other side". When you are single the good points of being in a relationship seem very appealing, but when you are in a relationship you can see more clearly the up-side of being single. You just have to weight each side up and make a decision.

You want that security, and other aspects of a relationship, but you don't want to have to have it for so long, or you feel that commiting is a no-way-to-back-out situation. It's normal, a lot of people feel the same way and deal with the same issue. You just need to make sure that before you commit, you are analyzing the situation as a positive for you, or nothing is ever going to seem worth it. Make sure before you commit you want to, and the positives outweigh negatives, or you arent going to feel the freedom you want, and you'll be overwhelmed with confusion. Good luck!

One word for you is committment phobic. You are probably afraid not of being in a relationship but either revealing too much of yourself, seeing the other person differently, getting too close, losing yourself, or miss out on the rules need not apply, go with the flow single life. If you truly want to be in a relationship it will happen later. You can't make yourself do what you are not ready for.

Sound like you want to commit but feel overwhelmed when you actually do, meaning your not quite ready for a serious commitment, are scared, and probably haven't found the right person to make you really want to commit whole heartily. Just take your time and don't rush into it. When you find that special someone, believe me you won't think twice about the commitment, you'll just do it.
