I am thinking of buying a Bose 3-2-1 System; however, a couple of friends suggested that I ask Yahoo! Answers to see if anyone knew of a better system for a better price...I don't mind paying for the 3-2-1 but if anyone knows of a better system that is less expensive and just plain better than the Bose 3-2-1 I am open to reccomendations. Thanks!

Bose is pretty expensive and not really worth it. Consider a Yamaha receiver with some mid-high end speakers. Paradigm speakers are the ones I chose for my home theatre. They were relatively cheap ($1000 for a set) and sound great. There are alot of really good speakers out there. JBL & Infinity are good too - some have more bass, some more mid... Listen to the system before you buy & buy what you like. Don't buy on the brand name. Listen to it and be sure you like it.

First, Bose isn't the ultimate. far from it. Their audio equipment and residing house theaters systems are low end yet with a mid-variety value ticket. 2d, residing house theaters in a container do no longer study favorably to a house theater that features a receiver and 5.a million speaker setup except that HTIB is in line with an certainly receiver. the main appropriate situation with HTIBs, different than their sub-par audio equipment, is their loss of sufficient connections. So get an excellent receiver and then the two purchase a 5.a million speaker set (i.e. Polk, Klipsch, ability) or individual audio equipment. The receiver could be an HDMI switcher (quite than bypass via) in case you desire the newest technologies. on the low end, the Onkyo TX-SR507 is a competent receiver. a competent mid-variety receiver could be the Onkyo 607 or Yamaha 665. Denon and Pioneer additionally make stable receivers.

I love Bose they kick some butt. The waveradio has some kick butt sound for small drivers. Bose knows sound that is why shevrolet has them in the Vette. I would go to Best Buy and Circuit City and test them out. I like to mix and match and buy seperate componets and speakers.

Almost any speaker in their price range will out-perform Bose.

No highs?
No lows?
Must be Bose.

Check out:
Martin Logan
Boston Acoustic
Paradigm

and on and on...

You are not going to find the best speakers at Circuit City or Best Buy. Check out your local HiFi shop.
