Broke up with my bf about 3 weeks ago and found some of his stuff. He broke up with me over the phone and didn't say anything about me returning his things (he may have even forgotten that I have some of them). I don't want to have any contact with him but I don't want his things around. Do I just throw his belongings out or do I have a friend drop them off at his apt when he's at work? He probably has 1 or 2 things of mine and hasn't returned them (and I don't care enough about them to ask for them back). But I'm a nice person and would feel bad throwing them out even though I don't really owe him anything considering how things ended. What would you do?

Breaking up over the phone is rude. If he is being rude dont you think that its fair?

Depends on just what it is of his you still have. If its personal items I would call and ask him if he wanted you to dispose of them or did he want them returned. Tell him you will have a friend do it and set a time and day for it. If you do not want to talk to him pick a time when he is not there. If he has an answering machine, you can just leave a message.

I would call him or leave a message telling him that if he wants the rest of his stuff then he better hurry up and come and get it b/c your sitting it outside your front door and if he dont pick it up that day your going to throw it in the trash. Im sorry guys Pxss me off .

I would also drop his things off when he's away. Of u dont want ur stuf back don't ask for it but if u do leave a note and say "drop my stuff off asap". or something. He probably wants it back.

depends on the items. If it's anything important then u should give them back. If it's junk then throw it out.

It appears you don't want or need to keep any of his things. You might give your friend a list to give to him to ask what he wants done with them. If he doesn't answer, give them to charity. We don't need material things to remember.

I'd go myself and put them in his appt when he's at work..

or maybe..

I'd even go and give them to him when he's home...I mean seriously, maybe you guys can be friends...there's nothing wrong with it..and if not, why can't you guys talk once in a while.it's not a big deal..!
