right depends on you but here is what happened to me i gave her one and she was good with it for awhile but then she started using it when ever she got mad and max the thing out i would pay it off each time but.... then when we were getting divorced she took the card and maxed it out again she spent the money on her new lover i paid for their trip to Europe but i got it canceled after that i had planed to let her keep it for the kids but....

if you are married your credit reports are combined for the good and the bad, there is no pint to making the wife get her own card.
