Dipping your feet into vinegar, lemon and garlic rubs. Alternate between these and wash diligently esp. underneath the nails. Also watch you r diet. it really works, much better than all of those creams.

Home Tx:
Scrupulous hygiene w/o resorting to drugs is often effective. Twice a day wash the space between the toes with soap, water and cloth. Dry the entire area carefully with towel and put on clean socks.
Use shoes that allow evaporation of moisture. Avoid shoes with plastic linings. Sandals or canvas sneekers are best. Changing shoes every other day to allow them to dry out is a good idea.
Keeping the feet dry with the use of powder is helpful in preventing reinfection. OTC drugs such as Desenex may be used. Powder helps the toes to keep dry.

Several other problems notably a condition called dyshydrosis may mimic athlete's foot. Thus previously mentioned if you haven't resolved the athlete's foot after about a wk see a dr to confirm dx.

Hey the first thing u have to do is to go see a doctor, he will do a lab study and confirm its athletes foot, the differential diagnosis for "foot itching like crazy" is diverse.

If it is athletes foot, there is effective medicine namely Griseofulvin, but be prepared for a long treatment.
General measures are to maintain hygiene in that area, change socks regularly and keep it dry
Good luck

I have a great solution okay what you do is buy simple cocoa butter (not the lotion ,the butter/creme) then at night put it all over your feet and then put soft socks on.In the morning your feet will be as smooth and soft as a baby's blanket fresh out of the dryer. And it will also help the itch you said you have everyday

Go to the drug store and get an antifungal that cures athlete's foot and use it according to directions.

Keep your feet dry.

Wear absorbant white socks.

Avoid having your bare feet where other bare infected feet might have walked.
