I have a 3 year old pitbull, who for the first year and 1/2 was a PAIN to train. He is now fully trained, as I worked soo hard on it. He is now most of the time VERY obedient and btw I have never and would never ever hit him!! But if he does ANYTHING wrong now all I have to do is say his name in a stern tone of voice
and he starts shaking as if he thinks im about to hurt him. He has been in my care basically from day 1, and no one has trained him but me. I dont understand why he seems scared even though he has never ONCE been hurt by me. Is there a reason he would suddenly be so sensitive? I just moved about 2 months ago so could it be new surroundings? Any help would be great.

it sounds to me like it could be the new surroundings. he probably needs to get out and about in the new area so he can get a handle on new scents, and also scent the area himself.

i have a 4 yr old female anatolian shepard. i've had her since she was 6 weeks old. and she gets scared and nervous very easily, and is a potential fear biter...i'm a former vet tech, and i don't even get why she acts like she's been abused. the only thing i can think of is that somebody teased and/or mistreated her while i was away from home at work or something.
ANYWAY, i hope your dog gets over being scared and is back to his old self real soon. best of luck to you.
