The commercial said service calls are always free, but they charged me $30! Why?

Did they leave you any new equipment? If so, perhaps that is a deposit on that.

Because you listened to a commercial? You should have asked when you scheduled the call. Why would you ask here? Does Time Warner monitor Yahoo Answers?

well it seems to me that they ALWAYS find some way to screw up your bill. Good luck getting through to them on the phone, you will probably be on hold for 30-40 min.>>terrible customer service has been my experience with them.
